In this week’s episode of the Food Podcast presented by Clearview Federal Credit Union on the TribLIVE Podcast Network, the Community Food Bank of Greater Pittsburgh highlights how Clearview Federal Credit Union is working in the community to end the food insecurity.
“We did a team building exercise volunteering for the 2019 packing boxes and it really opened our eyes to the need for food in the communities we serve. Truly, the reach of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the communities that Clearview serves is so aligned that it really made sense to partner with an organization that does so much good and has so much impact in the Southwest of the AP,” said the president and CEO of Clearview. Federal Credit Union Ron Celaschi.
Since then, Clearview has supported numerous programs at the Food Bank, sponsoring the Food Podcast, raising funds through an annual golf outing, running a Hunger Action Month matching campaign, and stepping up the distribution of turkey this Thanksgiving.
The financial institution has also shown physical support, with staff volunteering 160 hours at the food bank.
“It’s really gratifying to help our neighbors who are in such need right now,” said Celaschi.
