SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Freedom Credit Union raised donations at local branches in August to benefit Unify Against Bullying.
The Month of Giving campaign raised $ 955.49 to help end bullying by celebrating true diversity. Freedom Credit Union President and CEO Glenn Welch and Vice President of Retail Administration Kara Herman presented the check, which was donated by members and staff of the credit union.
âGreat strides have been made to bring to light the problem of bullying, which affects children of all shapes, sizes, ages, ethnicity, sexual orientation or physical ability,â said Glenn Welch, president of Freedom Credit Union . âWe are proud that our members and staff have come together to support the important work Unify Against Bullying is doing to understand and eradicate the stigma surrounding the differences that fuel the majority of bullying. “
