The Owasso Education Foundation recently received funding from the TTCU Federal Credit Union to benefit local students.

The organization donated $ 144,750 to Oklahoma schools in August as part of its School Pride program, and $ 10,000 went to Owasso classrooms.

Union members choose from 60 School Pride debit card designs honoring schools in the area, and each time customers make a purchase, the organization makes a financial donation to these sites.

“I am pleased to report that our August giving to School Pride has increased by almost 20% over last year,” TTCU President and CEO Tim Lyons said in a statement. Press release. “The TTCU was founded by teachers, but now we are accepting members from all walks of life. However, our passion for supporting local schools remains the same.

Owasso has also seen an increase in TTCU donations over the past two years, with $ 8,000 in 2020 and $ 7,500 in 2019.
