The Kendallville credit union has been robbed; suspect in custody

KENDALLVILLE, Indiana (WANE) – A credit union in Kendallville was blocked Monday afternoon.

Dispatchers told WANE 15 that Kendallville Police were called to the 3Rivers Federal Credit Union at 551 W. North St. for a bank robbery reported at around 2:30 p.m.

Several witnesses told police that a man had just fled the scene after threatening a cashier and receiving money from the bank. They also gave a description of the vehicle and law enforcement in the area was notified, the Noble County District Attorney said.

Indiana State Police found the vehicle near the intersection of CR 19 and SR 6. The prosecutor said Lance Lombrana, 41, of Fort Wayne was arrested without further incident.

He was held in Noble County Jail on preliminary charges of armed robbery and is being held without bail until his initial hearing later this week.

“From the time the crime was reported until the suspect was taken into custody it took about twenty minutes,” Noble County District Attorney Jim Mowery said, “Most importantly, no one was not injured and the suspect is in custody. “

A representative of 3Rivers FCU said no one was injured.
